Dear all, I have read the 802.16-2004 standard and I
have a doubt concerning the network entry initialization process depicted in
section 6.3.9. After the SS synchronizes with the downlink
channel, it obtains the downlink and uplink parameters. Then, the SS starts the
Initial Ranging process and the basic capacities are negotiated using the SBC-REQ/RSP.
My doubt is related with the downlink and uplink burst profiles that are used
by the SS. In which phase and how are are these burst profiles negotiated
between the BS and the SS? Are they negotiated during the Initial Ranging phase
or during the basic capabilities negotiation phase? Thanks in advance for your time and help. Best Regards, Pedro Neves |
