As discussed at Session #48, the IEEE 802.18 has initiated the process of developing input to ITU-R WP 8F regarding technical requirements for IMT-Advanced. The 802.18 group will be holding weekly conference calls on Thursdays. The participants are the 802.18 members and the chairs of the participating WGs. The record of the first call, of 22 March, is below. Note that input to the 802.18 activity will be due each Wednesday at noon PT: in order to prepare input to the 802.18 correspondence group, 802.16 has set up its own correspondence group, with procedures detailed in the Session #48 802.16 ITU-R Liaison Group Closing Report: Given the 802.18 deadline, the 802.16 group will be holding weekly teleconferences on Tuesdays. For Tuesday 27 March, I believe that the WG does not need to prepare input because it already did so at Session #20: The content of that document was submitted to 802.18 and will be considered on 29 March. Nevertheless, I believe it would be useful to hold a preparatory conference call. I plan to do so Tuesday at 21;00 UTC: This may not be a convenient time of day for everyone. I don't expect this to be the time of the weekly call, but I need to be on a flight much of that day and do not have much flexibility. If you would like to participate in this 802.16 correspondence group, please email me. I will collect the names and provide you additional details and bridge numbers.
