Yes, Subodh. You are right.
There is one possibility still.
Acoording to the standard all the basic shold be in certain range, primary
, transport also follows the same mechanism.
These ranges are given in the standard.
I think it helps you.
Thanks,
Bhaskar.

analyser(PA).
Hi Bhaskar,
Thanks for ur prompt reply....
You r right....but say if the protocol analyser misses out the ranging
req frame i.e. the analyser starts its operation somewhere when the
initial ranging and network entry process completed...in that case how
come ur answer works out????
I think according to ur reply the analyser should starts it's operation
initially when the network operation initially starts so that the
analyser can capture all the frames reg NW entry????
Thanks for ur reply......

Hi Subodh,
If you parse Ranging Response, you will get Basic and primary Cids
right.
And from all the DSA Messages, you can get Transport CIDs.
Just you need to maintain the database of cids corresponding to each
SS.
Thanks,
Bhaskar.

Subject: [STDS-802-16] 802.16-d MAC protocol
analyser(PA).
Hi all,
I have some doubts in CID's.
First I'll tell my requirement. We are into development of 802.16-d MAC
protocol analyser(PA).
For the PA to parse the MAC data(may be either MAC Mgmt or Data), the
analyser should know the
Cid's assigned to individual SS's i.e. Basic,Primary and Transport
Cid's.
If not PA knows about the Cid's it can't parse the the MAC frames based
only on the Mgmt message
type fields.
So my question is for the PA to parse the MAC frames correctly, it should
be a part of BS
(b'coz the BS only assigns the Cid's to individual SS's)
Feedbacks are welcomed
Thanks in advance
Subodh
