The mapping among CC, interleaving, repetition
and modulation in 802.16-2004/2005 is quite confusing: (1) For Section 8.4.9.2.1 about CC, is the author assuming that the
output order is ……y[2]x[2]
y[1]x[1] y[0]x[0]àout first ???? (2) For Section 8.4.9.3 about interleaving, is the author assuming that
the bits from 8.4.9.2.1 be re-indexed as ……y[2]x[2]
y[1]x[1] y[0]x[0]= ……c[5]c[4] c[3]c[2] c[1]c[0] àout first Then apply
the stated formulas???? Now
assuming the output of Section 8.4.9.3 is ……a[5]a[4] a[3]a[2] a[1]a[0]
àout first (3) For Section 8.4.9.3 about repetition, is the author assuming the
bits ……a[5]a[4] a[3]a[2] a[1]a[0] from Section 8.4.9.3 should be
arranged as (assuming 24-carriers (1-subchannel, 2-cluster) X 2-symbols slot,
QPSK) ……
a[47]…… a[0] àout first (1st
symbol) ……
a[95]…… a[48] (2nd symbol) Or ……
a[94]……a[2] a[0] àout first (1st
symbol) ……
a[95]……a[3] a[1] (2nd
symbol) ???? (4) For Section 8.4.9.4.2 (modulation), is the author assuming bits from
the previous block should be ordered as (using the previous example) ……
b[47]…… b[1] b[0] àout first
(1st symbol) ……
b[95]…… b[48] b[48] (2nd
symbol) Then each
pair (e.g., QPSK) of b[1] b[0] or b[3] b[2] …… are mapped according
to Figure 263???? (The word MSB is too vague!) Please
clarify those confusions in the standard, thank you in advance for your kind
help. Dr. Will Liew Andrew Corp. 434-386-5212
