[STDS-802-16] 802.16 Project Planning Committee: Call for contributions for Study Items and New areas

Dear 802.16 friends,

 

The 802.16 Project Planning Committee is inviting contributions for the following study items that are being pursued presently:

 

-          Study Report on Hierarchical Networks (IEEE 802.16ppc-10/0008 - http://ieee802.org/16/ppc/docs/80216ppc-10_0008.doc )

-          Study Report for Co-existence with non-802 TDD systems (IEEE 802.16ppc-10/0007 - http://ieee802.org/16/ppc/docs/80216ppc-10_0007.doc )

 

The intent is to update these Study Reports and hopefully some of these may lead to new projects.

 

Also contributions are invited for exploring new areas where study may be initiated. The following topics were suggested in the July plenary session (See report - http://ieee802.org/16/ppc/docs/80216ppc-10_0010r2.ppt)

 

-          Smart Transport

-          Location Finding/Ranging

-          Mobile Wallets

-          Mobile Gaming

-          Systems beyond IMT-Advanced

 

If you have ideas or material related to these topics, please do submit them as input contributions, to motivate new study items the 802.16 PPC could pursue.
