Colleagues-
For those of you sweltering in the rest of the country or elsewhere, you should be reminded that this is normally the cool season in San Francisco. This year we are having cooler than normal temperatures for July. This week's daily high temperature in the city is running in the high 50s with nighttime lows in the low 50s. Both temperatures are supposed to crawl up by about 5 degrees over the coming weekend.
Temperatures at the ocean are even cooler and the prevailing breeze is onshore.
In this set of particular conditions, it is often even cooler at San Francisco airport than it is downtown.
