Folks, As you may recall, we have not yet established a venue for Session #77 in January 2012. I have not received any hosting proposals. It appears that we have an opportunity to co-locate with the other IEEE 802 Wireless Groups (802.11, 802.15, 802.18, 802.19, 802.21, and 802.22, along with 802.21) in that month. Those groups will meet at the Hyatt in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. This would entail a change of dates. We had been planning to meet the week of 9 January, but we would need to move to the week of 16 January. This is the week of the ITU-R Radiocommunication Assembly, but I don't think the overlap is a significant concern. The co-location with the other groups would offer some opportunities. The hotel is a nice one, and the room rates are reasonable (US$149). It seems that there is enough meeting space for us. I need to confirm a decision next week. I recommend a discussion at the WG Opening Plenary on Monday. If we can agree there, then I suggest that we immediately confirm and lock it in.
