[STDS-802-16] IEEE 802 EC actions on 802.16 issues at EC Closing Meeting of 2012-07-20

Folks,

The IEEE 802 EC has approved all 10 of the proposals that the 802.16 Working Group put forth at today's EC Closing Meeting.

Thanks to all the participants, and especially to the chairs, for the hard work leading to this progress.

Here are a few followup issues:

*I have submitted the P802.16.3 and P802.16q PARs to NesCom to meet today's deadline. I expect them to be considered by NesCom on 29 August and by the IEEE-SA Standards Board on 30 August.

*I have submitted the P802.16p and P802.16.1b drafts to RevCom to meet today's deadline. Depending on the results, they may be considered by RevCom on 29 August and by the IEEE-SA Standards Board on 30 August.

*P802.16n and P802.16.1a may move to Sponsor Ballot, hopefully to conclude prior to Session #81, depending on the recirc outcome.

*The Metrology and HetNet Study Groups will continue through Session #82.

*The two contributions to ITU-R Working Party 5D will be prepared for delivery prior to the deadline of 26 September.
