NOVEMBER 9-10 N-WEST MEETING: BASIC INFO
N-WEST Meeting #2 will be held on November 9-10 at the Hyatt Regency
Albuquerque in Albuquerque, New Mexico in conjunction with the Plenary
Meeting of the IEEE 802 LAN/MAN Standards Committee. N-WEST will present a
90-minute tutorial on "Broadband Wireless Access Technology and Standards"
to the approximately 500 members of 802 (6:30-8:00 pm on Monday evening,
November 9) and then hold our own working meeting (which will also be
called an ad hoc 802 meeting) on Tuesday from 8 am until 5 pm. For full
details, see the detailed meeting info.
You need not represent a Supporting Company to attend; everyone is invited.
However, the preregistration fee is $275 ($300 after October 30). The
registration income goes to IEEE; N-WEST has no financial involvement. You
are encouraged to preregister by email, but fax and post are also options.
If you preregister by email, you may choose to defer payment until you
arrive.
As a registrant, you are welcome to attend the other 802 meetings. In
particular, you may be interested in attending the 802 Plenary Session,
tentatively planned for 1-3 pm on Monday, and the 802.11 Plenary,
tentatively planned for 1-6 pm on Monday. 802.11 is the Wireless LAN
Working Group.
Please notify Roger Marks of your intent to attend.
This way, he will be able to update you with any late developments.
