[RPRWG] PDF presentation file tips
Dear all,
If you are using PowerPoint, and you have fancy background
and/or colors in your presentation, please make sure you are using
Acrobat 4.0 or better, and use the Adobe menu button [Create Adobe PDF].
This ensures that fancy background is distilled only once into your PDF
file. Alternatively, you could print to PDF using distiller (but not
Acrobat PDFWriter, which replicates background data on every slide) for
the same benefit. I've seen file size difference of 20+:1, just from
this difference. If you have to use PDFWriter and have fancy graphics,
I recommend sending PPT file, which usually is a lot smaller than PDFWriter
version if you use fancy graphic background.
regards,
Yong.
