Bob,
Yes, it's a great idea to share the objectives
list
from March meeting (Mike, would you upload?).
As my job of keeping a live objectives list did not
work out at all. Zero requests to add from Nov ~
March.
But I found that most of the objectives people care about,
came in form of presentation to the
group.
I would certainly volunteer to do the same job from
now to the next plenary, if the group actually use
this
method of adding objectives.
For those who are new, my job was to take any
objectives
from any of the members and organize it into a master
list.
The master list would be posted, and also sent out via
reflector.
The frequency of update would match frequency of
request-to-add.
regards,
Yong.

(a) minutes from the March '01 meeting, (b) the list of 21 objectives that were
agreed to at the meeting, and (c) the entire ordered list of objectives
including the forty something objectives that we have not yet had a chance to
vote on. Availability of these documents is vital to our ability to carry
on email discussions, and to add to the list of objectives.
I contend that the Requirements document must be a
"living document" with the keeper of the document adding to the bottom of it
other suggested objectives. It should serve as a base for discussions on
objectives. Other living documents should include our "Definitions and
Acronyms". (Yong, had you agreed to be the keeper of this document or was
it the issues list? If not you, then I or some other volunteer can keep
the document current)
Both documents could include notes or sections
indicating the paragraphs that have gained Working Group approval, and those
that are at the proposal stage.
B.J. and Mannix, when can you have the meeting
minutes available for posting (and the motions available for the Motions
Archive)?
John Hawkins and Ed Messina, when can you have a
web area available for living documents including the Objectives lists (both
passed and proposed objectives), and the Definitions and Acronyms
document?
Lauren, when can you have a first pass at
(proposed) definitions and acronyms ready for posting?
All, what other living documents do we need?
- I expect we will want
* An Issues List
* An Action Item
List
* A section for drafts of
individual Clauses in the proposal stage, which will go to a secure area of the
site once we get
* A pointer to minutes that need
to be reviewed for approval
* Any other documents requiring
review and / or action
* A section for posting
documents for review between meetings so that we don't have to put attachments
on emails to the reflector.
