RE: [RPRWG] Queries about containments

Ed,

1) Contained frames are counted only after they have been transmitted. A frame is considered to have been transmitted only after it has been admitted to the stage queue.

2) Any one station stops context containment when its topology database is both stable and valid. See 10.1.10 for more details.

Subject: [RPRWG] Query

Folks,

Several questions from my side:
1) Why the "containedframes"  statistics are not updated even though the strict data frames within the Q_TX_SS, are purged by the MAC, during context containment ?

2) How do all the station in a RPR ring, decides when to remove context containment from the ring ?
Ed
