1)
Contained frames are counted only after they have been transmitted. A frame is
considered to have been transmitted only after it has been admitted to the stage
queue.
2) Any
one station stops context containment when its topology database is both stable
and valid. See 10.1.10 for more details.

Several
questions from my side:
1) Why the
"containedframes" statistics are not updated even though the strict data
frames within the Q_TX_SS, are purged by the MAC, during context containment
?
2) How do
all the station in a RPR ring, decides when to remove context containment from
the ring ?
