[RPRWG] Protection senarios question

In D3.3 clause 11.6.5.1 figure 11.29, the protection topologies,once there are two SD appears simultaneously on both P1 and P2, then a closed-ring topology is retained.

 

Question 1 : SD is generated by hardware, how can the ring works like closed-ring topology?

 

Question 2 : How to clear the two SDs when there has no master staion on ring ?

At begin,there is only one SD(or MS) on P1,

if S6 don't know SD on P1,and SD generated on P2,S4 learns another SD(or MS) on P2 after awhile, then S4 clears its SD(or MS) protection.

if S6 acknowleged the SD on P1, then S6 would clear its own newly generated SD on P2, and broadcast IDLE on ring.

Is it reasonable?
