Subject: [New-work] BOF sessions at IETF61 (7-12 Nov, Washington DC)
Colleagues, interested parties,
In the spirit of letting other organisation know early about
(potential) new work in IETF:
At the upcoming IETF 61 (http://www.ietf.org/meetings/IETF-61.html),
we have a number of BOF slots. A BOF in the IETF is often used to gauge
interest in new work and at such BOF sessions very often a new WG
charter gets discussed. Approval of new work is not sure and must happen
afterwards (many BOFs do not result in new chartered work, but then many
do in fact result in a new WG).
Anyway, the full IETF61 agenda is at:
http://www.ietf.org/meetings/agenda_61.html
The BOF sessions for this week are:
Monday afternoon:
GEN ietf-tv The Future of IETF Multicast/Unicast Service BOF *
SEC kitten Kitten BOF
Tuesday Morning:
SEC btns Better-Than-Nothing Security BOF
Wednesday afternoon:
INT 6lowpan IPv6 over Low-power WPAN BOF
RTG pce Path Computation Element BOF
Thirsday afternoon:
INT ntp Network Time Protocol BOF
Friday morning:
APP sieve SIEVE Mail Filtering BOF
Time slots may get changes, pls check the IETF61 agenda page for the
latest information on meeting slots. That page also has ptrs to the
meeting agendas in most cases.
Very often you can follow sessions remotely via jabber.
