Sorry I was unable to make the conference call this morning. I heard that there was some good discussion.
I was looking over your comments and you use the phrase "media access independent." I wanted to comment a bit on that phrase.
The term "media independent" has been used a lot in 802.21. To me "media" means either the Air for wireless systems or a cable for wired systems. So I don't think "media independent" is the best phrase for our purposes. You modified it to "media access independent" which to me means "MAC independent." I think that is much better. However, I think there may still be better terms. Some possibilities are,
1. Wireless Technology Independent
2. Wireless Standard Independent
There may be others. I tend to use #1. In that context a wireless technology is associated with a specific standard (e.g. 802.11, 802.16, 802.22, WCDMA, etc.)
