Subject: [802.15-GENERAL-LIST] May 2010 IEEE Wireless Interim web registration now live
Importance: High

Reminder- It is the New Year so if you have not already done so please do not put off getting registered for the May 2010 meeting in Beijing. It takes time to get the invitation letter and apply for a Visa.  This is a historic meeting. You will want to be a part of it.

Regards and Happy New Year

Bob

The registration form is now live for the Beijing Meeting, May 2010. The link is below for your reference,

Thanks to the significant support on the part of our meeting co-sponsor, SIMIT (Shanghai Institute of Microsystems Information Technology), we are able to keep the registration fees for Non Chinese Nationals the same as those for North American venues.  That amounts to a several hundred dollar savings over a typical Non North American Meeting fee.  We are also able to offer special incentives to Resident Chinese Nationals to encourage participation in this watershed event.

Please be aware that China Visas are required for most foreigners and an invitation letter is needed to apply.  That letter will be issued by SIMIT but registration is required to demonstrate participation. The letter process may take several weeks depending on load and other events.  The Visa application process will take additional time and the need to get passports to Chinese Embassies for processing.  Again it is smart to allow plenty of time for this.  Detailed info is on the web registration site and includes how traveling companions might also go about getting Visas.

Accommodation bookings are part of the registration process.  There is no deposit required to reserve your room so you might as well do that while you are registering and secure the lower registration fee.

All questions regarding the meeting logistics, accommodations and registration issues should be addressed to our meeting managers at arinex (aka Tour Hosts) at ieee802wireless@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx (NOT Face to Face Events).  Please cc me as well at bheile@xxxxxxxx on any issues/questions.

Regards

Bob
