[802.19] Contributions for Atlanta

Hi All,

Unfortunately I couldn’t make the call today because the call was already at 5 AM in Finland since we changed back to the normal time last weekend.

I just checked the minutes from the call and noted that there were some discussions on contributions planned for the Atlanta meeting and especially whether we plan to have something on CM-to-CM communications. We plan to have a contribution in form of a draft normative text on it. We still believe the 802.19.1 specification needs to provide means for CMs to exchange information on those coexistence system users that need to coexist with each other. We don’t believe we can count on the CMs to synchronize data without providing the actual mechanisms and especially the basic rules that needs to be followed. We can’t assume that what will happen between geo-location databases will happen automatically between CMs. The 802.19.1 specification needs to give the rules and better to give the tools as well. We are going to have a contribution on this and we are looking forward discussing the needs and the proposed approach with you all in Atlanta.

Additionally we are planning to have contributions at least on coexistence discovery (especially its implications to the CDIS), distributed decision making and terminology. All these are planned to be in form of draft normative text.

See you all in Atlanta next week!

Best Regards,

Mika
