[802.19] Coexistence in Unlicensed Frequency Bands Interest Group

IEEE 802.19,

 

               With the Executive Committee approval to submit the 802.19.1 draft to RevCom the IEEE 802.19 WG is exploring new work.

 

               To that end the WG established an Interest Group (IG) on “Coexistence in Unlicensed Frequency Bands.”

 

               The IG will meet on conference calls initially, starting on April 9, which are scheduled every two weeks.  The conference call schedule is available on the web site at,

               The calls alternate between 7PM EDT and 1AM EDT.  The 7PM call is convenient for people in the US and Asia, while the 1AM call is convenient for people in Europe and Asia.  Hyunduk Kang will lead the calls.  Hyunduk will send out an announcement about each conference call a few days before the call.

 

               Also, the WG decided that we would not meet at the May Wireless Interim, so our next face-to-face meeting will be at the July Plenary in San Diego.

 

               Once again, nice job on completing the 802.19.1 Sponsor Ballot within 4 months.  J
