[802.19] SA Ballot Invitation for 802.19.3



                The SA Ballot Invitation for 802.19.3 has been started.  If you are an IEEE-SA member and have indicated interest in 802.19 projects you should have received an email from the IEEE-SA system yesterday.  However if you did not receive the email and are interested in joining the SA Ballot Pool, I have included the email below.  If you have any questions you can reach out to me and Jonathan Goldberg (goldberg.j@xxxxxxxx)

We are contacting you because you indicated an interest in participating in this technical area, or you indicated an interest in the activities of this Working Group, project, or its Standards Committee in myProject.

The IEEE Computer Society Society/LAN/MAN Standards Committee invites you to participate in the Individual Standards Association Ballot for: P802.19.3
Title: Recommended Practice for Local and Metropolitan Area Networks - Part 19: Coexistence Methods for 802.11 and 802.15.4 based systems operating in the Sub-1 GHz Frequency Bands
Scope: This recommended practice provides guidance on the implementation, configuration and commissioning of systems sharing spectrum between IEEE Std 802.11ah-2016 and IEEE Std 802.15.4 Smart Utility Networking (SUN) Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) Physical Layer (PHY) operating in Sub-1 GHz frequency bands.

The Project Authorization Request Form contains additional information about this project.


Once the document is ready to be balloted, you will receive notification via email. You will typically have 30 days to review the document and return the ballot with your vote. By agreeing to participate in this ballot you have an obligation to respond. Failure to return a completed ballot may disqualify you from participating in future ballots.


Log on to myProject and access the menu bar on the top right. Select Invitations/Ballots > Open Invitations, identify the project or standard you are interested in, then click Join Ballot .
