[802.19] Decision // Re: Japan MIC's consultation on IEEE 802.11ah (for experiments in Digital Rural Health Special Zone)



Dear 802.18 members,
cc 802.11, 802.15 and 802.19 members,

On 17 November 2023, Japan MIC made a decision on the consultation that sought public opinion in assigning frequency bands between 853 MHz and 860 MHz with EIRP no more than 0.035W in selected areas of Japan that can be used as specific experimental testing stations to promote rapid technical development and commercialization of IEEE 802.11ah related technologies.

The submission deadline is Saturday, 30 October 2023.  If you would like IEEE 802 LMSC to prepare a submission to the administration, please prepare a contribution and bring it to IEEE 802.18 for review and approval no later than 3pm ET, Thursday, 12 October 2023.
