[802.19] Decision // Re: Vietnam's consultation: allow lower 6 GHz band for indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi operations

Following the consultation in Q4 2024, the administration made a decision on 31 March 2025.  The changes will be effective starting from 15 May 2025.

On 19 October 2024, Vietnam's Ministry of Information and Communications began a consultation "Draft Circular amending and supplementing a number of articles of Circular No. 08/2021/TT-BTTTT dated October 14, 2021 of the Minister of Information and Communications stipulating the List of radio equipment exempted from radio frequency use licenses, technical conditions and accompanying exploitation", which seeks public opinion on its proposal to allocate 5925 MHz to 6425 MHz for indoor and outdoor license-exempt Wi-Fi operation.

The official submission deadline is 19 December 2024.  If you would like IEEE 802 LMSC to submit a response, please prepare a contribution and bring it to IEEE 802.18 to review and consider approval no later than 3pm ET, Thursday, 5 December 2024.
