On 10 December 2025, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) published the recommendation on Assignment of the Microwave Spectrum in 6 GHz (lower), 7 GHz, 13 GHz, 15 GHz, 18 GHz, 21 GHz Bands, E-Band, and V-Band, following the end of the consultation in July 2025.  For details, please read:

On 28 May 2025, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) began a consultation that seeks public opinions on its proposal of the microwave spectrum assignmentin 6 GHz (lower), 7 GHz, 13 GHz, 15 GHz, 18 GHz, 21 GHz Bands, E-Band, and V-Band.  For details, please visit:

Of possible interest to us are the questions that the administrator asks regarding the license-exempt usage in the 6 GHz and 60 GHz bands.  In partucular:
1)  6 GHz:  Questions 16
2)  60 GHz:  Questions 29, 30, 31, 32, 33

The comment and reply comment deadlines are 25 June 2025 and 9 July 2025, respectively.  If you would like IEEE 802 LMSC to submit a comment or a reply comment, please bring a contribution to IEEE 802.18 to review and consider approval no later than 12 June 2025 and 26 June 2025, respectively.
