On 20 January 2026, India Department of Telecommunications (DOT) published its notification on the Use of Low Power and Very Low Power Wireless Access System including Radio Local Area Network in Lower 6 GHz band (Exemption from Licensing Requirement) Rules, 2026, on the Gazette of India.  The rules are also posted on DOT's website at:
