Hi,
The Coexistence CG had its first
conference call this afternoon. The following individuals attended the
call:
Geoff Anderson
David Shively
Jeff Bernstein
Dan Gal
Joanne Wilson
Farooq Khan
Reza Arefi
The group covered all the agenda items.
In light of the charter of the CG to come up with a recommendation to the WG on
how to deal with the coexistence issues, there was consensus among the
participants of the call on the following:
1) 802.20 definitely needs to address
the Coexistence issue
2) 802.20 needs to form a Coexistence
Task Group ( a subset of the Working Group) to address the
issue
The CG's next call will be on Sept. 8,
1:00 to 2:00 PM. The focus of the reflector activities will be on the
following issues.
1) Should the TG prepare a separate
document dedicated to coexistence or should it feed its output to the air
interface document?
2) Should the recommendation from CG to
the WG include some of level of detail on the interference scenarios that the
future TG should focus on, or should interference scenarios and their level
of significance be left to the TG to decide?
