Multi-carrier Support
The AI shall have the ability to support multiple carriers within the same scheduler so that carriers can be stacked within sector. This shall allow flexible augmentation of capacity.
Rational
In large dense urban cells sufficient bandwidth to enable Broadband Services must provided efficiently. A common scheduler or sufficient information passed to the mobile terminal to determine which of the available frequencies is least loaded so the mobile terminals can be evenly distributed. If mesh networking is used the additional blocks will be used to provide inter cell transport to another mobile terminal or to the nearest backhaul aggregation point as required.
