RE: Conference Call Reminder: ad hoc group on evaluation -January 11, 2005 10am-12 noon EST
Hello,
Regarding the usage scenarios update, I've gathered information about the
standardization activities details in different SDO:s, related
alliances/forums, interoperability/conformance related
organizations/activities, and standards interpretation questions, to list
some examples. This is needed as background information for 802.21 to
produce a well balanced standard, that provides enough flexibility for the
vendors to 'add value', and yet is strict enough to facilitate
interoperability of the basic functionality - and then continue with the
usage scenarios to gain confidence on the proposed mechanisms.
I will present the findings in the form of a submission in the interim, it
is quite a big area, and is probably better to discuss about on a
face-to-face meeting.
BR, Reijo
