RE: [STDS-802-21] 802.21 as a vehicle for developing IEEE Wireless SDN?
Hi Daniel and others,
Thanks for your interests. I will let Charlie explain to the group regarding participation.
For January IEEE 802 workshop, the time has changed. Please note the following mail from Roger Marks, Chair of 802.16 WG. If you are interested in participating remotely, please let me know and I will convey that to Roger.
Regards,
_Subir
------------
I'm sorry to say that I earlier reported an incorrect time for this meeting. The correct time (as shown below) is Thursday AM1 (8-10 am).
Also, upon request, I will make a web/voice telecon available to those who want to connect to the meeting by VoIP or PSTN dial-in. The telecon URL is <https://join.me/wirelessman>.

Dear Charlie, Subir, all
We, in the Aveiro University in Portugal, have been for some time researching the topic of integrating 802.21 aspects with OpenFlow, to optimize handovers in wireless environments. We've recently published a paper entitled "Empowering Software Defined Wireless Networks Through Media Independent Handover Management" in GLOBECOM'13, as well as other ones where we further exploit such concepts in enabling Future Internet architectures.
We would be thrilled to share our findings with you, and contribute to any joint 802.21+SDN effort. We are, however, limited regarding presencial IEEE meetings, but will willingly participate into any audio conferences or mail exchanges regarding these aspects. Hope to hear from you!
Best regards,
Daniel Corujo, Ph.D.
