Dear Study Group participants, This email is to inform you that Megha Shanbhag, TE Connectivity,
has provided new channel data for simulated backplane channels. The data
ranges from 29.8 inches to 42.8 inches in both Megtron 6 and 4000-6 board
materials. Please see http://www.ieee802.org/3/100GCU/public/channel.html.
Referencing to Page 3 of http://www.ieee802.org/3/100GCU/public/ChannelData/TEC_11_0428/shanbhag_03_0411.pdf
one can see that Megha has provided the group with quite a range of channels,
ranging from a –KR channel to a scaled –KR channel, and includes
channels in between. Given the group’s support of the goal of
requesting PAR at the July Plenary, this data is extremely timely and useful. On behalf of the Study Group, I would like to thank Megha
for providing this channel data. Best Regards, John D’Ambrosia, Chair, IEEE 802.3 100 Gb/s Backplane and Copper Cable Study Group |
