[802.3_100GEL] IEEE 802.3 September 2021 teleconference interim meeting series announcement

Hello All -

In case you missed David's message below, here is information for the September Interim Meeting.

A couple highlights for you to take note of:
- There is no meeting fee for 802.3 interim
- You'll need to attend meetings on 4+ days of the interim for WG attendance credit
- Given the meeting moratorium the week before this, I am cancelling the 9/15 ad hoc.

I'm also announcing that p802.3ck will meet Wednesday, 9/22 for discussions and presentations.  We will also meet Tuesday & Wednesday (9/28 & 9/29) to begin comment resolution on Draft 2.2  (to be posted later this week).  All presentations for draft 2.2 and thus for the September Interim are due Friday 9/17. AoE. Please include your time request and brief summary in your email.  No formal presentation request is needed.

IEEE 802.3 will hold its September 2021 interim meeting series telephonically, from Monday 20th September, through Thursday 30th September 2021. An IEEE 802.3 Working Group interim meeting will be held from 14h00 UTC (07h00 PDT, 08h00 MDT, 09h00 CDT, 10h00 EDT, 15h00 BST, 16h00 CEST, 19h30 IST, 22h00 CST, 23h00 JST) to 16h00 UTC UTC on Thursday 30th September 2021. Several Working Group decisions are expected during the IEEE 802.3 Working Group interim meeting. Depending on the amount of discussion, the IEEE 802.3 Working Group meeting may run beyond our target 16h00 UTC ending time, so please plan your time accordingly. Call details are below, I'll send a calendar invitation shortly. Task Force, standing committee, and any appropriate ad hoc meetings will be held from Monday 20th September 2021 UTC through Thursday 30th September 2021 UTC, excluding Friday 25th September 2021 UTC through Sunday 27th September 2021 UTC, and will be announced shortly.

The rules do not provide for attendance credit toward membership for an electronic interim. The IEEE 802 Working Group P&P say, however, that 'Membership may be declared at the discretion of the Working Group Chair (e.g., for contributors by correspondence or other significant contributions to the Working Group).'. We require a minimum of three days at a face-to-face plenary, but a minimum of two days at a face-to-face interim meeting series as it is a series of subgroup interim meetings. Based on this rule, and applying the same ratio, I'll grant meeting credit for any individual that attends a meeting on four of the eight meeting days of the September 2021 IEEE 802.3 interim series.
