Dear Study Group Participants;

In anticipation of the possibility that our Study Group may be nearing completion of its efforts and ready to move to a Task Force request (PAR) in March, the leadership team has been working on a few items that will help this come to fruition.

We have generated a straw-man 5 Criteria Response presentation (early review draft attached)
We have mapped the contributions from various presentations into the 5C responses with green marks as shown in the attached spreadsheet. *** NOTE: In order to get this out asap, some MMF rows have not been completed yet. We will update later today ***

We recognize that the determination as to whether a presentation addresses a 5C response is subjective, and therefore request review and feedback, especially from the authors of those presentations. We did not address the organizational slides, although I believe there may be Broad Market Potential content in some of them. If you authored an organizational presentation and feel it contributed to the 5C responses, feel free to let me know.

I would like to request that authors for presentations in January consider the 5C response mapping of their presentations and provide me with a row filled in as shown in the table attached.

Friday at midnight AOE is our deadline for presentation requests. Late requests will be subject to schedule availability and the discretion of the chair.

On a different note;

Presenters - If you plan to present in January, I am going to request that presentations restrict their format to minimize corporate logos and glossy illustration. In other words, its OK to have your company logo, but please present it in a minimalist form and avoid tag-lines or slogans like "We are the best company in the world", "Making life better", "Our stuff really works" or other such content. Our goal is to study 100G optics, not sell products or advance corporate slogans.

Please include in your presentation the name of our study group, location and date of presentation and page #.
