As per the discussion during the SMF Ad Hoc conference call yesterday (see draft minutes), total cost ratios for a 150m SMF link have been appended to the “100Gb/s SMF PMDs” presentation, now posted on the SMF Ad Hoc web page. Post conference call, I received several questions about the configuration of the 100GbE-LR4 modules from six different suppliers operating at OFC/NOFOEC’13. All had retimed 4x25G electrical I/O, designed to comply with future CAUI-4 specification, and were plugged into system chassis, test instruments, and evaluation boards with both FPGA and PHY ICs supporting the 4x25G I/O. Chris From: Anslow, Peter [mailto:panslow@xxxxxxxxx] Hi, The draft minutes from today’s call are on the SMF Ad Hoc web page. As discussed, the next call of the SMF Ad Hoc will be at 8:00 am Pacific on Tuesday 16 April (2 hour duration if sufficient presentations otherwise shorter and cancelled if there are no presentations requested). Please send requests for presentations on any of the SMF proposals to me. Note, there are two further SMF Ad Hoc opportunities on 23 April, and 30 April. Peter Anslow from Ciena has invited you to join a meeting on the Web, using WebEx. Please join the meeting 5-10 minutes early so we may begin on time. +44-203-4333547 (United Kingdom) 4438636577 (United States) Regards, Pete Anslow | Senior Standards Advisor |
