Val,

For the study group to consider the feasibility or usability of OAM in 10GBASE-T, we need an objective.  If there is desire to expand on OAM for 10GBASE-T, then presentations should be made to scope out what should be done.

OAM is critical for Ethernet, whether it's in 802.3af,
EFMA, or even 10GbE. It's important that all of these
dot3s have OAM and are consistent.
