* The ordering of slides 4 and 5 may be confusing. They will be presented
in the opposite order.
* The attached plot may help to clarify the results shown on slides 4 & 5:
In contrast to slide 4 (which shows slicer SNR vs. length for a given
THP filter, with the power held constant at the power backoff value
appropriate for that filter), this plot shows shows SNR vs. length for
each filter, but with the power backoff value set as appropriate for
each length.
