IEEE 802.3 Working Group
Voters, Observers, and Liaisons:
This is the announcement of the electronic IEEE 802.3 Working Group 1st recirculation ballot on P802.3an, 10GBASE-T. If you were an 802.3 voter at the time of the initial ballot of this project (a member of the P802.3an ballot group), but you didn't vote on P802.3an/D2.0, or if you voted on P802.3an/D2.0 and you wish to change your vote, please cast a ballot on this recirculation ballot. If you did cast a ballot on P802.3an/D2.0 and your vote on this recirculation is the same, you do not need to cast your ballot again as your previous vote is carried over.
Instructions for accessing
the draft, casting your ballot and submitting comments follow this
announcement. Because multiple 802.3 WG ballots may be running in parallel, proper subject lines
on ballots and comments are essential for your ballot and comments to be
accepted.
The project is an amendment
to IEEE Std 802.3. P802.3REVam is a
recently approved revision to IEEE Std 802.3-2002 that merges five published amendments, and also includes approved maintenance changes and
changes accepted in P802.3REVam balloting. The changes to IEEE Std 802.3 included in P802.3an/D2.1 are written against
P802.3REVam. Because
P802.3REVam/D2.2 is in the process of publication preparation and
non-substantive editorial changes may be made as part of publication,
reconcilliation of base text to the published standard are expected be done by
the P802.3an editor prior to Sponsor ballot of this project if the published
text of IEEE Std 802.3-200x has changed from the P802.3REVam
text used as the basis for this draft.
