Dear
Task Force members,
If you
have not booked your room for the September interim meeting, please do so as
soon as possible as the hotel has extended the room block until Wednesday,
August 17th. I would like to encourage all those planning to attend the
meeting to book into the Nashua Crowne Plaza as the meeting room costs are being
waived based upon the number of hotel rooms being rented. If you have
booked a room at another hotel, please cancel that room and book into the Crowne
Plaza. Booking into the Crowne Plaza helps ensure that the costs for the
meeting are offset by the number of room nights, and permits Texas Instruments
(our host) to not require a meeting fee from you. Your support is greatly
appreciated.
Thank
you,
Brad

numerous issues with the hotel reservation system. Let me assure you that
there are still plenty of rooms at the conference hotel and that there is no
need to stay offsite as yet, nor should there be a need at all. Should
anyone be told, either via the web or via a phone call that there are no rooms
please contact me immediately. Today at least it would appear that
the system is functioning. If you have taken a room elsewhere
due to the reservation issues I would request that you try to change your
arrangements to the conference hotel in order to support the meeting.
There is no meeting fee for this event as it is being hosted by Texas
Instruments; however, the meeting rooms are being comped by the hotel with an
expectation that there will be sufficient hotel rooms rented by guest to make it
worth the hotel’s while. With all the issues in the reservation system the
hotel has extended the block to August 17. The Sue O’Donnell (+1 603 886 1200)
of the Nashau Crowne Plaza has asked that should anyone have an issue getting
the TXI rate to please also contact her and she will manually process the
reservation. Hopefully it will not come to the need for personal
intervention, but please contact her (as well as me) should any issue arise in
the future. Again, I regret the issues with the
hotel bookings and would ask that any failure to get a room be reported to me,
that you try to stay at the conference hotel and, most of all, that these
reservation issues would just go away. Cheers Mike
