[8023-10GEPON] Inappropriate topics

Dear Colleagues,

Sometimes in the thick of a polemical battle, it is easy to unintentionally
say things that can be interpreted as inappropriate for the IEEE reflector.

While those involved in our task force activities in many cases understand
the context of the discussion and can see that there was no ill intent on
author's part, this context will be lost for those who only read the public
e-mail archive (maybe many years from now).

This is a friendly reminder to please by mindful of IEEE rules of not
discussing inappropriate topics, including product pitches, corporate
pitches, or prices.

I ask you to please scan you messages before you post them and re-phrase
anything that may come out as a red flag.

Other inappropriate topics include:
- validity/essentiality of patents/patent claims
- cost of specific patent use
- licensing terms or conditions
- product pricing, territorial restrictions, or market share
- ongoing litigation or threatened litigation

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation,
Glen
