[8023-10GEPON] IEEE 802 Plenary Meeting registration and ad hoc participation
All,
The IEEE P802.3av Task Force will be meeting during the March IEEE 802 Plenary Meeting (March 17 - 21, 2008). Meeting details may be found at http://ieee802.facetoface-events.com/sessions/47/index.php. You are strongly encouraged to make your reservations as soon as possible. Web pre-registration closes at 6PM PST, Friday, February 29, 2008.
As is typical for a plenary meeting, our task force will be meeting Tuesday morning through Thursday noon. The agenda for the meeting will be to resolve comments submitted against draft D1.1 and to review big ticket proposals that will be reported by our ad hoc groups.
We have the following ad hoc groups established at this time:
- Coexistence clause (leader - Eric Lynskey)
- C64 speed-agnostic prototype (leader - Marek Hajduczenia)
- Idle Insertion FSM (leader - Jeff Mandin)
- Management (leader - Jeff Mandin)
- Burst timing (leader - Frank Effenberger)
- Jitter and Loop Timing (leaders - Vijay Pathak and Ryan Hirth)
Time is running out fast and yet there has been very little ad hoc activity on the reflector. Anyone wishing to participate in any of the above ad hoc groups, please contact corresponding leader, if you have not done so yet. I would like to encourage all ad hoc leaders to initiate discussions on the reflector very soon and guide the ad hoc members toward generating a proposal.
The deadline for submitting comments against D1.1 is February 29, 2008.
The deadline for submitting stand-alone presentations, including ad hoc reports and proposals is March 10, 2008.
Thank you and Best Regards,
Glen Kramer
Chair, IEEE P802.3av "10GEPON" Task Force
