Sun's agenda, attached is a short example of modeling the light propagation
in fibers using measured refractive index data for the mode delays
(task 1) and the modal power distribution for offset launches (task
4). The modeled result is compared to the DMD
measurement data.
As
discussed in the task 1 teleconference, once the mode delays and mode power
distribution are specified there tends to be strong agreement between modeling
approaches.
