RE: Going the distance

There's been a great deal of discusion about different
distances and speeds to choose as the objective, and
the different technical approaches that would be favored
by those different objectives.

I for one would find it useful to have a table
generated by some multi-lateral ad hoc group describing
for explicit comparison those different tradeoffs so
that those of us overwhelmed by the volume of email could
evaluate the choices before voting.
