Rate matching of 10G MAC and 9.58xx Sonet Framer/PHY


Hi,

One option on this issue could be to leave this out of spec altogether with
an informative
appendix explaining how to implement (IPG based, out of band (HOLD/CRS)
flow control based 
or inband (802.3x) flow control based). This way we could decide on 10 G
speed for MAC
and get on going. In any case, as someone pointed out, 10 G speed does not
give througput and is MAX effetive data rate rather than fixed one.
