Richard,
Could I ask you to describe how you see these advantages and
disadvantages? Some features of these schemes seem to have
been imperfectly communicated. I would very much appreciate
understanding how you see the issues.
The complication of the byte striped version's deskew function
frankly looks like a very large ASIC design risk factor to me.
I know there are other issues to be tackled, but we might be
paying for a wrong choice here for a long time.
