Pkt delineation in SONET
Paul Bottorf,
In your latest presentation in May, Ottawa on WAN PHY, you have
adopted the 64b/66b packet delineation scheme which looks nice
on paper, but I have a question. What does the packet delineation
look like when the packet goes into the SONET domain? Would it be
like EoS? It seems that with signicantly different delineation schemes
the payload would change significantly, and the pkt would then need to be
completely reframed as it moves from the WAN PHY to SONET domain. Is
this true?
