Rich,

I don't understand.  
When WAN PHY uses 4-lane WDM PMA (SUPI), it still uses SONET framer (WIS) 
before facing to the 4-lane interface.  Are you saying that WIS would be 
inevitably integrated with 64B66B PCS?
