word pacing mechanism


Hello:

Word pacing mechanism is proposed to match the oc192 rates.Hence at the
the transmitter side word with-hold is used to insert NULL for the same
, so that during the transmission 9.58Gb/s data rate is maintained.
Now on reception of the same, does the PCS insert the NULL to keep the
receive clock maitained  at 156.25Mhz,since the PCS will recover a lower
clock rate!!

Please clarify,I may be wrong!!
