[802.3_1PPODL] PoDL updates
All -
I've been away from email for a few weeks, but I'm back now. Here is a series of PoDL updates in preparation for the San Diego plenary:
- Currently I have two presentations for the PoDL group scheduled, so we'll likely meet 1/2 day, either Tuesday morning or Thursday morning depending on the 4PPoE schedule. Presentation deadline is Friday June 11 - please let me know if you have a presentation to give before then, and I'll post them over the weekend.
- The next plenary meets in San Diego the week of July 14th at the San Diego Convention Center - see http://802world.org/plenary/ for more details.
- I'm sorry to report (belatedly) that Hugh Barrass, who was a PoDL contributor, has passed away - see the forwarded notice below.
See you all in San Diego -
Dave

> David asked me to ask you to forward Mark's email regarding Hugh (sent to the DOT3 reflector) to your project reflectors. I'd appreciate it if you'd reinforce the request to direct any remembrances or discussion to the DIALOG (STDS-802-3-DIALOG@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ) reflector. This reflector is open and anyone may post to it.

> To friends and colleagues who worked with Hugh Barrass,
>
> It is with the greatest sadness that I have to tell you that Hugh Barrass passed away suddenly last night. I can’t even attempt to do justice to the level of contribution and impact Hugh has had on the industry through his work in the IEEE standards and beyond. Hugh’s great humor, insights, knowledge and friendship will be sorely missed by many.
>
> At this time, I do not have any information on any funeral or memorial arrangements but I will forward on details when I know more. Feel free to reach out to me (mnowell@xxxxxxxxx) if you have any questions.
>
> We will try to gather somehow at next month’s meeting and have a celebration of Hugh’s life. I know many will want to share remembrances and thoughts, could you please direct them to the DIALOG reflector only. I think these are archived.
