To friends and colleagues who worked with Hugh Barrass, It is with the greatest sadness that I have to tell you that Hugh Barrass passed away suddenly last night. I can’t even attempt to do justice to the level of
contribution and impact Hugh has had on the industry through his work in the IEEE standards and beyond. Hugh’s great humor, insights, knowledge and friendship will be sorely missed by many. At this time, I do not have any information on any funeral or memorial arrangements but I will forward on details when I know more. Feel
