Dear 200GMMF SG Members,

We have our 200GMMF SG meeting on Wednesday, 17 September, 8 AM - 6 PM CDT (UTC -5).

As you know, Mark Nowell had to schedule a .3dj optical track meeting (given the large number of comments that need to be resolved) on Wednesday afternoon, 1:15 PM - 6 PM CDT, that will overlap with our meeting. I know that many of the 200GMMF SG participants also participate in the 3dj optical track. So, 200GMMG SG will target being very efficient and productive, and try to conclude our meeting by 12 noon. It will be challenging as we are planning to have motions to adopt the project documents, the PAR, CSD, and objectives. We may continue with our meeting after lunch with those who will not be participating in the 3dj optical track, if that is warranted. I will send out updated versions of those project documents (earlier versions are already posted). I have been getting very valuable reviews and feedback from Mark, John, Adam, and David on our project documents. Please take the time to review these updated documents thoroughly and carefully tomorrow before our meeting on Wednesday, so we can be as efficient as possible on Wednesday.

The IEEE 802.3 200 Gb/s per Wavelength MMF PHYs Study Group will be meeting all day Wednesday Sept 17, 2025, during the IEEE 802.3 Interim Session being held in Minneapolis, MN, USA with remote access (provided on best effort basis). Please note that registration and payment of the registration fee is required for all individuals who participate (in-person or virtual participation). The Study Group will be meeting all day on Wednesday. Please consider this when making your travel arrangements.
The draft Agenda for the meeting will be to study IEEE 802.3 200 Gb/s per Wavelength MMF PHYs and the development of Project Authorization Request (PAR), Criteria for Standards Development (CSD), and Objectives documentation.
