[802.3_200GMMF] Announcement: IEEE P802.3ds TF Interim Electronic Meeting - Thursday 07 May 2026 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT (UTC -4)

Dear P802.3ds TF participants

This email announces an IEEE P802.3ds TF Interim Electronic Meeting on Thursday, 07 May 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. EDT (UTC -4) - no registration or registration fee is required. We may consider and vote on TF motions at this meeting.

Please note that a separate email containing the meeting invitation will be sent.

The interim meeting agenda will focus on considering associated contributions and resolving comments against the initial TF review draft, D1.0, and reviewing presentations to build consensus on the 1060 nm MMF baseline.

Remindar that comments against D1.0 https://www.ieee802.org/3/ds/private/8023ds_D1p0.pdf (in TF private area; please contact me if you need the TF private area username and password)  will be accepted through Monday, April 27, AOE.
Note that comments must be submitted using the comment entry tool.

Individuals wishing to request presentation time for this TF teleconference interim meeting shall email me at mabudchoudhury@xxxxxxxx and Guangcan Mi at miguangcan@xxxxxxxxxx by Wednesday, 29 April 2026 AOE. 

The presenter shall email a PDF, soft-copy version of the presentation to me at mabudchoudhury@xxxxxxxx and to Guangcan Mi at miguangcan@xxxxxxxxxx by Monday, 04 May 2026, 11 a.m. EDT (UTC-4). Please make sure that page numbers are included in your presentation. Please review and follow the Procedure for Presenters https://ieee802.org/3/ds/public/presentproc.html for the presentation requests and the presentations (with the deadlines being the ones listed above). 

As a reminder, please ensure that all requests for presentations or submissions of presentation materials do not include restrictive notices at the bottom of the email. All such emails will be refused, and requests/presentations will not be acknowledged. All individuals submitting presentations should review the Procedures for Presenters Page for the respective projects noted above.

It will be greatly appreciated if presenters review their presentations to verify they have followed the cited Procedures for Presenters. 

To support the web site search tool used by the IEEE P802.3 website, the 'Document Information' fields of the PDF file must be completed as follows:       
  • Title: Title of presentation       
  • Author: Name(s) of author(s) & affiliation(s)      
  • Subject:  IEEE P802.3ds 200 Gb/s per Wavelength MMF PHYs Task Force
Presentations that do not have the fields properly filled out will not be accepted.

Regarding Relative Cost Analysis       
  • Presentations addressing relative cost analysis may require IEEE Risk management review if individuals do not follow guidelines provided in IEEE SA Anti-trust policy available at http://standards.ieee.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/antitrust.pdf.   ·       
  • Further information about the IEEE 802.3 cost discussion can be found in “Presentation on Cost Discussions to IEEE 802.3 Working Group” (See https://www.ieee802.org/3/100GNGOPTX/public/may12/lindsay_01_0512_optx.pdf). ·       
  • Please note that such an IEEE Risk management review can take up to ~30 days. Individuals not budgeting sufficient time for review may have presentations scheduled for later meetings to allow these reviews.
