Dear Colleagues,
David Law recently sent out a meeting notice for the 802.3 WG meeting in Waikoloa. It incorrectly indicated that the 802.3by TF would be meeting on Monday morning (as an interim) before the 802.3 WG opening plenary. This was incorrect and we will be
meeting as indicated below, starting on Monday afternoon after the opening plenary.
Sorry for any confusion caused by this. I’d failed to catch the oversight in the preview draft of the message when given the chance to review.

The P802.3by 25 Gb/s Ethernet over single-lane Task Force meeting will be held during the 802.3 Plenary meeting week in Waikoloa, Hawaii (July 13th-17th, 2015). Meeting details may be found at http://www.ieee802.org/meeting/index.html
We have restricted meeting time available during the week. The P802.3by TF will meet Monday July 13th in the afternoon and all day Tuesday July 14th.
The focus of the meeting will be to review any comments received on the D1.1 Task Force review and make any changes. We are anticipating this will be very light as we are believe we’ve achieved the TF Review goal of a technically complete document and
unless there are technical changes that are needed to meet this goal, we expect most comments to be deferred to the WG Review. We do plan to use the meeting time to review technical contributions to help the Task Force gather information on the topic of potentially
specifying the 3m cable to operate without FEC. This will assist us in making any proposed changes in WG Ballot on this topic after July.
This message is a meeting notification for the plenary TF meeting and a call for presentations.
Requests for presentation time shall be made to me at
mnowell@xxxxxxxxx and must be made by Friday, July 3rd, 2015. The presenter shall e-mail a PDF, soft-copy by Tuesday of the following week (Tues July 7th, 2015).
