[802.3_400G] Study Group

All,

As I talk to individuals in preparation for our July meeting, I am noticing a trend where there is a lot of focus on the technical aspects of the project.  This will assist the group greatly in responding to the 5 Criteria – Technical Feasibility Criteria. 

 

However, we will need to respond to the other criteria, as well, which includes broad market potential, economic feasibility, compatibility, and distinct identity.  This also means we need to be working on objectives, and I think we can agree that PMD related objectives will be one of the areas we will need to focus and where consensus building will be necessary. 

 

I am asking any individuals working on presentations related to objectives or broad market potential to contact me prior to the deadline, in order to assist with planning of the meeting.
